  • 22lbs Brisket - Chicken Wings - Salmon - Pulled Pork - BUT...

Last week BBQ Island Inc was defrosting their freezer, so they had a sale on their 'thawing' meat. Brisket @ $2.99/lbs for choice. Had to take advantage.

Went down there and picked up 2. One for a buddy. They had a 14lbs'r and a 22.5lbs'r. Figured I'd give him the mega.

Threw them on the passenger floorboard and headed hom. When I got there...whoops Looks like I had punctured the cryovac on the large one and the myoglobin was leaking. Thank god for rubber floor mats.

Anyhow, this lead to an impromptu Brisket cook on a Thursday night since I didn't have the means or space to re-seal it and store it until Memorial Day.

Here's the 'BUT': I didn't get any pics sliced or plated

I've been cookin salmon over the Vortex quite a bit. Here's how:

Another night, I did some chicken wings

Here's the 'BUT'. I didn't get any pics past this point. None finished or plated

Sunday night I decided to cook some Pork Shoulders and offer them to friends/family for their Memorial Day gatherings. Good news is, that I sold it all! Mad Hunky GP (last of the old label) + Golden Brown Sugar. Injected w/ Butcher BBQ Pork Injection

Here's the 'BUTT': . I didn't get any pics past this point. None finished or plated

Wait...On second thought, we made a Pulled Pork Pizza with it!

Here's where I laid out some BBQ sauce and the meat over it

But...I didnt get any pics past this point
