Don't know about the coffee rub on burgers but the one I used on these has cinnamon in it, it was delicious-

A burger and bacon on a cinnamon glazed doughnut! That's just not right, just right!

Java BBQ Rub (makes about ¾ cup. Approx. Cost Per Serving Not Available)

          6 tablespoons ground coffee

          2 tablespoons kosher salt

          2 tablespoons brown sugar

          2 tablespoons sweet paprika

          2 teaspoons black pepper

          2 teaspoons garlic powder

          2 teaspoons onion powder

          1 teaspoon ground cumin

          1 teaspoon ground coriander

          1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder

          1) Mix the ingredients together in a bowl, stirring with a fork, whisk, or even with your finger. Thoroughly blend the spices, and make sure the brown sugar has broken up.

          2) Apply directly to meat, or move to an airtight container for storage.
Devo, been wanting to try some coffee based rub, so on a whim, I tried this recipe on some Ribeyes last night. Very good flavor! a little milder than I thought it would be, but a different flavor from my staple T Dust for beef. I sprinkled just a touch of Lemon & herb powder for a little added zing, and it worked well together. Good Stuff
