Drumsticks over Wings? Shirley you can't be serious.

I love wings but I simply cannot eat "Buffalo" hot wings. You know, those pub things you cool off with ranch dressing? Gross! I think a Big Mac "tastes" better. I love spice but Tabasco infused, lip burning wings ain't my thing. Actually anything but a "red" hot sauce will do me fine.

Not that I have an opinion!

I am partial to "Asian" wings. Ultimately, salt and pepper - dry!

            2 lbs frozen wings
            1 bottle ketchup
cook wings in microwave for a few seconds to make sure they're hot
            cover with ketchup
            serve.

try making them crispy without frying.

tastes better than fried and is better for you :-)

loads of wing recipes on the forum - you just have to look for them :-)

would that be frozen, but already cooked - in which case, yes I've done that.

                Or
Frozen uncooked - in which case HELL NO ! that's a short walk to the morgue in the making.

I rinse the wings then pat dry with paper towels. I place the dried wings in a medium sized plastic bowl then drizzle with evoo. Cover the bowl and shake to evenly coat all of the pieces. Next I heavily dust with Habanero Death Dust and shake again. Remove the wings from the bowl and place on a rack then heavily season both sides with Mad Hunky Hot Ass Whang. I let them rest on the counter while I preheat my Yoder 640 to 325 degrees. Then I smoke them for an hour or a little more depending on the size of the wings. I spray them with a little vinegar/water mix and sprinkle on a little more Mad Hunky after the first 30 minutes.
These taste great and the skin is crisp however I wish they were a little hotter. Maybe next time....

Here's a recipe that I did a while back that I was very happy with :

OK...I was trying to come up with something different for a super bowl pot luck party, and wanting to avoid the traditional Buffalo wings, this is what I came up with. Served these alongside some of PigNit's tenderloin fingers, and we had a great time. Had to print up about a dozen recipes from the number of requests, so here it is...very simple, and oh so good.Tongue
They are only a little bit hot...don't be afraid of them, even if you have a wimpy pallet.
                            Sweet and Hot Thai Wings

                            24 wing drumettes
1/3 cup thai sweet chili sauce
                            2 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
                            2 Tbsp soy sauce
                            1 Tbsp freshly grated ginger
                            2 tsp sesame oil
                            1 Tbsp Lea & Perrin's Worcestershire
                            vegetable oil
                            kosher salt
                            freshly ground black pepper

                            1. Heat oven to 400 °
                            2. In a large non reactive bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, ginger, Sriracha, soy sauce and sesame oil.
                            3. Toss the wings in vegetable oil until lightly coated, and place on an oiled sheet pan.
                            4. Season wings with salt and pepper and bake for 20 minutes.
                            5. Remove from oven and turn wings, then turn pan end for end and return to oven..bake another 20 minutes.
                            6. Remove from oven, toss in sauce until well-coated, then return to oven for another 10-15 minutes.
