Someone a while back asked about peeleing mass quans of tomatoes. I suggested freezing them, and when they thaw the skins fall off. Some concern was voiced over the structure of the tomato after... not a problem with smooth sauces/small chunks.
BUT let's go the other way... I just did a dozen Romas for a pot of pasta sauce with my WEEDBURNER! Hit 'em hard and roll them around... they hardly got warm and all the skin just blistered up and I rinsed it off in cold water.
