  • Needle Valve

Years ago I converted my SnP Pro to propane. During last weekend's cook I ended up struggling to keep the temp down with the needle valve. Every time I would turn the valve down a hair, the flame would pop and go out. I ended up cooking at a higher temp than I normally do.

Can needle valve's get dirty? Not sure what is going on. Was told my propane tank will expire in July and will need a new one or have it retrofited.

Could be some gunk buildup in it I guess. Don't know how "cleanable" they are. Never tried to take one apart.
