Hey Dutch.....Have you ever smoked these under a chunk of beef or pork so the drippings fall into the beans? I really want to try that soon, but don't know if it will make them too juicy.
I also buy a brand of breakfast sausage that has so little fat in it that I have to add some bacon grease to it in the pan to get it to fry. I bet a fattie made from that and smoked over these beans would be great with just juices and very little fat dripping into them.

I usually don't follow recipes very well. Especially for beans. But I went pretty much to the letter with these since Dutch, I know, put a bunch of work into it.

Ok... I used 1 whole jalapeno and rotel tomatoes instead of regular stewed tomatoes. I do like i bit more heat than the average bear.

They were very excellent and I give 5 stars to Dutch. Thanks man!!

Whenever I do beans (my Ranch style or the Wicked ones) in the smoker and I have a chunk of beef or pig in to smoke, the bean pan always gets placed under the meat to catch all that fatty goodness.

Hey erain, yes they DO make foil pans with a divider. I've used them to make side by side scalloped potatoes, with cheese and without.
