  • Sweet Heat Wings and twice Vortexed potatoes

Friday night...Friggin weather is beautiful...And I need some wings
Oven is broken so I had to improvise on the potato thing... An experiment is in order...
It's been a couple of years since I did twice baked spuds but I knew the Vortex would do the trick...The challenge was how to get them done in the same time frame as the poultry parts...
And that's why I cut 'em in half...Rubbed with EVOO and coarse S&P...placed cut side down around the "V" with the wings...Vortex filled with a mix of lump and briqs...Temps ran north of 550 even with the vents pinched way down...
Around 30 minutes the spuds came in and got gutted...Mixed with sour cream, butter, and cheddar...Was in a hurry and forgot to mix in the bacon
Taters went back around the "V" till the wings were done and a little more...

And the pics tell the story...
    Wings and spuds and fire...

Two lonely taters ready to come in the house...

And plated with the forgotten bacon...

Experiment turned out great! I only wish I had made more...And next time I will...Wings with the MHGP S/H is always a hit Thanks Rich

And as usual, thanks for stopping by...
