  • Hello from Marietta Ga!

Hey folks, I've fairly new to smoking and new to this forum. I've been cooking since I was old enough to see over the counter top and been grilling not long after. I've roasted 3 pigs (2 occations: 1st time was 35lb, 2nd was two 75lb) in a pit I dug in the ground, stocking it with wood for the whole day.

After College I bought a Kamado Joe (BGE competitor) and have been using it ever since. I've made brisket, pulled pork, and bacon. I found this forum when looking up how to make pastrami.

I've been lurking for about a week and I feel like it's a worthwhile group to join. So i say hello to you all and I look forward to being here.

Also... thinking about building my own smoker... Kamado Joe is a little small for what i want but that will come later, got to save the the $$$.

My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

You gonna fit right in! Hey, I lived in Marietta in the 90's. Used to go to the square and eat wings at a place that was an old theatre. Also enjoyed Kennesaw Mountain. Glad you joined us.
