  • great site just joined

hello from oakes, nd. I am a teacher and coach here. I have been a hunter and fisherman my whole life and just started getting into smoking to process my own deer(my last butcher shop bill was 600 bucks for deer processing and i said no more) i have a little 6 ft smokehouse and a fridge smoker. I am a relative newbie when comes to smoking and really haven't even found my go to sausage recipe yet( if anyones got suggestions i am all ears). i do have some great jerky i have been making for year though.

anyway great site and i will try to get pics of my mini smokehouse!!!!

Welcome Norm. Lot's of tasty ideas, and great folks here.

We've been processing our own deer for quite a few years now. Same reason. Now that I got into the smoking, it's way better eats.
