    I countersunk the screw holes in the cutting board and used flat head screws so the screw heads would not scratch the countertop. Also like Phil I use stainless steel wing nuts and bolts to secure the stuffer to the cutting board.
    Yup, countersinking is key
    My center island is all wood, so I don't have the possible damaging issue with granite. I do like the idea of the rubber pad...
