So after reading about how many injuries that a wire grill brush can cause and subsequently seeing a few on the grate of my Char Broil big easy I have decided to not use them anymore. Aside from the foil and tongs I am using now what are you folks that have made the same choice using?

If you are cleaning grates...the Martin Grill Gadget. It is like the set of French Curves you used in drafting or engineering when drawing waveforms and curves...just find the slot that fits and give it a swipe. It is solid brass and won't leave bristles behind.

Or a wire disk attached to cordless drill. Cleans that shit off in a minute. Then after I light fire and warm the grates I wipe them down with tongs holding some paper towels drenched in vegetable oil. Ends up like new non-stick skillet.sigpic
