  • Cheese and salt

Cold smoked some cheese and salt today. Pepper jack, colby jack, Muenster, provolone, gouda, mozzarella, bacon cheddar, habanero jack and sharp and med cheddar.

The cheese looks killer and I like the way you smoke the salt

Thanks! Last time I did salt I just used a paper plate and didn't feel as though I got the smoke coverage I wanted. I don't remember where I saw this trick, but it worked great.

Very cool! Is that a mesh strainer you have the salt in?

            Drinks well with others

Great idea and it looks like a splatter screen for a skillet .. keeps the bacon grease from popping on the stove top.

I need to follow your lead on this been awhile since I smoked cheese

                  Yep, it's a splatter screen.
