  • Cooks from this weekend

Got home from a 19 day trip Friday night and spent the weekend making up for missed cooks.
Saturday night was a belated Valentine’s Day dinner,
    Prime rib
    Loaded sweet potato
Cucumber, onion, tomato and mozzarella salad in some Balsamic vinegar
Asparagus wrapped in fillo dough and bacon
And a asparagus and mushroom dish that the GF whipped up
The Adult Beverage was a bourbon and Cabernet barrel aged Imperial Porter with added cherries and chocolate
Went to bed fat, full and happy shortly after finishing.

Lunch today was my second go at the magic that is the Vortex. Tossed 2 packs in a bit of oil and tossed another 2 packs in oil and MH Sweet Heat. Used a full chimney of charcoal and put some hickory chips on a foil plate for some smoke action. Once done, the wings got tossed in a variety of sauces:
    Teriyaki
    Teriyaki/ chili garlic
    Spicy BBQ
    Medium
    Mango Habanero
    And plain

Sides were leftovers from the night before.

Seriously amazed at how good the wings were, can’t wait to do wings again.

    Thanks for looking

          Outstanding!

Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

                  Yessir. Thank you.
I made the mistake of reaching over the center while flipping. Singed the hair right off. Lesson learned

I am embarrassed to say I seem to learn that yearly
