My great niece has always been interested in DO cooking. We have done several dishes together and she had been on me for a good while to teach her herb chicken. Truthfully I had never made that...but I found what looked to be a good recipe, got everything together and went to her house. She didn't really need me...she knew how to follow the recipe and measure...but I taught her you don't have to follow it exactly...and she picked that up fast and really made this her own. Below is the recipe I gave her for 4 bone in chicken breast. We were using skinless boneless breast (7) and thighs (7) so she had to make quite a bit more than the recipe. After mixing it all up she coated the chicken in it and put it into the DO.
Not too many pictures but I'll share what I have. I even bought and gave her a ThermoPop and she loved it!!
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 clove crushed garlic
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1/4 teaspoon ground sage
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
4 bone-in chicken breast halves, with skin
She also fixed rice and steamed broccoli...in the kitchen, not DO.
Thanks for looking!
