  • Galvanized tin for Windbreak ok?

Wanting to put galvanized tin between the legs of my Smoke Hollow 38". Heard galvanized metal can give off really bad fumes if it gets to hot. Given this is not in the smoking chamber am I ok? Also what other product or material would you recommend.(wood)

Its not gonna get hot enough to cause any problems...And its not in the fire box or cooking chamber so it wont affect the food even if it does...

    That's my opinion...Others may differ...

Heck almost anything will work for a windbreak. I have used lots of different things. Bales of straw, hoods from cars, lawn chairs and tarps.

The foil back insulation sheets are cheap and hold up pretty good too. They are better than the quilted moving quilts.
