  • First time with Lamb

    I've never cooked lamb and I've only eaten it in gyros. So I got a small rack to give it a try.

    Some salt and pepper and off to the grill.


    I gave it a quick sear over the vortex.


    Seared.


    I melted some mint jelly into some yellow mustard and coated the rack and let that sit for 10 mins.



    While that sat I made a herb crust. Crusted.


    After 20 mins indirect vortex. I let that rest for about 10 mins.


    While that rested I served some Gazpacho Verde with Burrata cheese.


    Rested and cut.



    Now for the plate. I made some butter poached maple sriracha carrot puree and lamb chops.



    Ok if you like meat and haven't tried lamb chops you are missing out. These were outstanding. I think I have a new favorite.

    Mmm. love me some lamb chops. The wife however will not eat it, so I haven't had it in years. Nicely done!

          That sounds very interesting. I like lamb from time to time. But Mrs. Shoots is the real fan around here.
