And it’s a SOLID 3/16ths seal too. Now./.you’ll wanna adjust the seal time if doing production sealing. Start at 2 seconds... after a few to 1.5. them maybe 1 if yer really puttin’ the screws to ‘er.

It will also seal the 6Mil mylar bags..like Mad Hunky comes in. Not VAC..mind ya- but seal. 2.5 seconds. Impressive.

Yup...if you don't back the seal time down after you start heating it up a few times, it will seal all the way through your bags and leave them in two pieces. This thing doesn't 'efff around. And it resets quickly for another go!

I usually process in batches...load up all of my bags and then seal all of my bags, and I usually seal them twice in case I got some grease in the way or something...the 350 goes like this....seal, reposition, seal again, set aside. Position next bag and repeat for as many bags that you have. With the food saver it went like this...after four seals, you might as well go do something else for 10 minutes while it cooled down and would work again. Now, don't get me wrong, I used the hell out of that food saver, but it tested my patience every time I used it.

Will this model use food saver bags or other generic brands? I have about 300 sitting here, that I don't want to waste. I have a food saver professional II that has been really good for several years, but I've had my eye on this unit, based on all the rave reviews

                      Yup..you're good to go, Scottie!

I've used food saver bags, lisa's bags, and vac master bags from the webrestaurantstore...the seal time is adjustable so you can tweak it longer for shitty bags and seal the hell out of good ones.

Yes. I have FS bags from previous life that work just fine.

Sidenote... I sucked some lupini bean brine thru mine today. $(*$&$^. Ran it open for a min, some came out the bottom.. then packed all that kolbasz with no hitch. Beast.
