  • Hello from Mid Michigan

Been smoking for a couple of years on a cheap vertical propane fired and more recently a COS, that I modified. Both are now on Craigslist because my new Jambo Backyard is supposed to be here on Thursday. Laid in a supply of Oak, Apple and Hickory, so I'm going to finally be smoking with a real stick burner. Hopefully I can get it seasoned and have time to do a brisket this weekend, or maybe some prime rib although I never smoked prime rib.

Been grilling for 30 years, mostly on a Weber gas grill, but have recently picked up a charcoal kettle, have not used the gas grill since.

I'll probably spend most of my time here lurking and learning.
