    I've only ground up the seeds so I couldn't say. My understanding is that the paste has other spices & flavors added. chefrob uses the paste only so one day we will have to compare notes & see what the difference is.

      yup the paste does have other spices but they are not overpowering......need to get some seeds to compare...........
