yeah my tastes have changed a lot over the years. But I can't ever remember a time I could or ever wanted to eat rice.

I'll try everything at least once. But rice is never going to happen

I've been blessed with a broad spectrum of taste buds. Some born with, some trained. I still make no apologies for not eating rutabagas and chitterlings.

Somethings I don't like I do eat because of what I think might be critical nutrients in them. If it doesn't make me gag and throw up I'll eat some of it except for the fish bait I have no desire to even try. Out of all the most normal foods I may refuse to not eat a dozen or so. I do hold with a statement made by a most famous of physicians a few centuries ago. "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food". Hippocrates

And pork and beef are high in B vitamins.

Oh back to beans. I don't like green beans but love fresh shelled Fordhook Lima beans. I don't many have ever had them fresh out of the garden and shelled. Fresh shelled and frozen are like comparing an antique six shooter to a cruise missile in the way they taste. Same goes for fresh shelled black eyed peas which are really a bean and not a pea. African beans they are.

Well everyone has something. Guy Fieri hates eggs. Scott Conant can't stand raw onion. I have a reputation of trying pretty much anything and liking most of it. Love raw oysters, escargot, uni, beef carpaccio, steak tartar, all kinds of liver, sauted, chopped, pate, braunschweiger, just about any kind of bean, all kinds of greens, most any wild game, sushi, sashimi, squid, octopus, anchovies... there just isn't much I don't like. But I just can't gag down a raw tomato. I'm working on it, I can manage small cherry tomatoes that have been cut in half, but one of those big ole beef steaks of even a roma, I just can't do it. It's a textural thing. Now cooked is a different story. Any kind of a sauce, any of that stuff, I'm down, but in my opinion if you slice a tomato and just look at it, anyone can see that something went terribly wrong in there.

HA HA!! Reminds me of a fishing trip a friend of mine and I made to Oklahoma. Stopped at a local market in Tishomingo. Picked up some ground beef, potatoes, shad gizzards, frozen shrimp, etc. Lady at the checkout says, "Y'all goin' fishin'?" My buddy replied, "Either that or we're makin' some real ugly stew."
