It's always good to have mix of talented people about. Photography has a
distinct presence here and if you just look at some of our photos you can tell some of us could use some help. I've been razzed a bit about my photos as being "Andy Warhol's idea of smoked meat in a smoker", to my trusty ol' Vivitar 2700 (1998 vintage) that takes the "best-worst" photos on the internet. (but with the low res even the dial up people can see the pix)
So now I'm shooting with an Argus 3.5 mp set at 1 mp. I'm getting better with it but it sure doesn't like light being reflected into it. As I'm kind of an inventor builder, I'm trying to rig a base to hold a skylight or UV Haze filter over the lens. It doesn't provide for one so the camera is going to look like it's wearing an eye monocle.
Barbeque Tube may be of interest to you. Do you do any video Smokeisshowing ? It would be nice to see a gallery of glamor shots of
smoked meats on a well dressed table. I think most of us are just shooting from the hip.
One of my favorite photos here was taken by Sweet Magnolia of her Dutch Oven simmering away after dark.
