Just made a smoker from a water tank and wanting to learn how to cook with it. It is propane heated from underneath. The vents shown are to make sure no gas is trapped before turning it on. The first time i tried to turn it on i cooked all the hairs on my arm. The water pan on the inside is made of aluminum and is being held by one of the rods running across.

Describe your build a little more and post some pics of it... Let us know how it is powered?... propane, charcoal, electric... How it is vented?
Welcome to Smoked-Meat... Nice looking smoker build.. Do you have exhaust vents on top?? I do not see any from the front pic... Plus how are you lugging her around.. Maybe a homemade cart??

Interesting looking smoker too. Don't think I've seen a straight vertical propane conversion before

There is an exhaust on the back top side. I used a vent from an old Weber charcoal grill. right now i am moving it with a dolly but will end up adding handles on the side and maybe some wheels.
