  • It Is Chilly Outside, So How About Some Belly Warming Chili

So I have needed to replenish my Chili stock pile so it was too cold to go outside so I made a pot on Thursday... I cant say my chili turns out the same from time to time cause well I use what I have in stock and go from there...So I found some of Brisket and some Smoked Meat Baked Beans when I went freezer diving... Beans were a true find... forgot all about them, looked good enough so I went with it...

Got some onion and peppers going

    Added a bunch of garlic

Cooked down added some Merlot (about a cup) and cooked down

    Added tomato paste

    Added beef broth
    ,

and then added 4 pounds uncooked ground chuck, brisket, smoked meat baked beans, then topped off with cold water

added spices, chili powder, mustard powder, cumin, coriander, turmeric, pepper, ketchup, bbq sauce, jalapeno salt, yellow mustard, honey

Brought up to a simmer and by doing this while stirring creates a very fine hamburger, great for topping on hot dogs. shim off foam and fat you are good to go!

Pot was a bit small so as the water evaporated I add two cans of petite sliced tomatoes. Let simmer all day, well 5 hours.

Put in a bowl, topped with fresh grated cheddar.

    Thanks for looking!! Stay warm!!

Pass me a bowl of that, Brian! I don't have to have cold weather to eat chili. Yours looks excellent.
