  • chili tepin...........

my friend gave me this plant that he grew from seeds that he got from mexico. Chile Tepin is indigenous here in the Sonoran desert, it grows wild and is spread from birds. this chile is usually dried and crushed on to a plate of food but you can pickle them or eat them fresh. the burn is very intense from the git go and last at a pretty good level through out the meal.....i remember my grandfather going out front to get a couple from the bush he had growing......don't let the size fool ya. i can't wait for this bush to turn red full of berries.

as usual, thx for stoppin' by.........

Birds need to eat the seeds and shit them out before they are viable. FYI

Pequin are plenty hot but the Tepin are damn sure hotter...

The ones I grew were so packed full of seeds that they didn't work well for my needs...But they were HOT!
