  • My first ABT's

Believe it or not. Never made them before.

    All hollowed out.

Cream cheese, a 4 cheese blend on top with MH.

    Wrapped in bacon.

Fired up the mini with Trader Joes charcoal and pecan chunks.

And the rest of the pics.

To hot for the wife so I had to eat them all.

                  I'm telling on you.....

Those are perfection for your first time out! Now the possibilities, right? soon you will be in front of the fridge going what can I stuff in an ABT??? My understanding is if you get Japs that do not have the striations on the skin they tend to be less "hot" and if you remove the veins & seeds they say that helps as well (I am sure you knew this already) I guess there is nothing wrong with you being the only on in the house that can enjoy them either!

They look great!! As far as those with heat intolerance goes, I buy these bags of mini sweet baby peppers and stuff them/wrap them the same as a jap... they are way yummy and the heat is gone.

                    Drinks well with others

Look a lot better than my first batch.
Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

Yeah, mine too. Only thing my first batch had going for them was the flavor... let's just say appearance-wise, they were not picture perfect...

Thanks. Yea I gutted these and they still had some heat.

Soak the japs after prepping in warm water for an hour, drain and rinse. Gets rid of some of the heat. Too much loss in my book.
