Temps drive the trade!!
I have used the weber 2 probe wireless units for around three years with Ok results. My desired wireless range was borderline at my point of function....the recliner! Alas, multiple walls, fridges and BS in the way. Sometimes temps wed ere puzzling, battery life erratic and regular re-pairing of the units was a normal occurrence. My most EXCELLENT daughter gave me a Thermoworks "Smoke" at Christmas. Simple, super and predictable. It's awesome and all I need. Still, sorry to nitpick for its cost, wireless range is similar. I hoped it was more powerful but, alas it's consistency and function override that. Built for smokers absolutely. Pretty cheap for such an accurate unit.
