Last contest of the year is the weekend of Dec 9-10 in Conway, SC.

All the contests are connected to a charity. We cook the butts and the charity sells the bbq. Usually it costs someone about $10 to come in an they can sample all the bbq in 2 oz cups they can eat. This contest allows the customer to buy whole butts. There are a few that we attend that allow us to sell our bbq and they take a percentage and we get the rest. It pays for us to continue doing contests.

Granted, all this is just in my head. Until I win the lotto, or my career as a stripper pays off, I'm forced to use the kitchen counter....
