Agri Supply has great prices...tough to build one for this amount...

          http://www.agrisupply.com/discada-bb...blade/p/85078/

I bought a new 24" IH / Case harrow disk off Ebay (actually I bought 3 of 'em) for $25.00 Each. I had to spin out a tool steel slug to weld up...then my welds cracked...so I had to buy special 309L weld wire to improve the ductility of the super hard disk / slug material joint @ ~$50.00. I'll also add some horse shoe handles @ $5.00 so my total price for 3 will be in the neighborhood of $47.00 each plus all of my time. It will probably beat the Agri supply price with shipping calculated in.

Plus I can say my shop isn't just a display case for my tools...I know where it came from...and I'll show a sufficient amount of pride when people ooooh and aaaaah after watching that sucker in action. They will think I'm a bad ass for doing it my self.

IMO disks and woks should not be lumped together. Neither is a substitute for the other. They encompass two completely different styles of cooking.

FWIW, I have found the best deals on woks will be found at your local Asian market.

Yup, totally agree. I have never cooked on a disk, butt plan to very soon. As I see it, woks are a totally different animal. A disk is in my future...
