  • Apple Rose Tarts

I saw this recipe on FB and my wife really likes apple pie so I had to make it for her for V-Day dessert. They really are easy to make and taste pretty good.

I sliced a Granny Smith and a Gala apples into thin slices, gave them a dose of lemon juice add water and nuked for 3 min at 50% power to soften them.

I rolled out some puff pastry and sliced it into 4 even slices.

I added cream cheese and sugar to the strips of pastry and laid the apple slices out. I folded the pastry in two lengthwise and rolled into a flower looking thingie. I placed the rose tarts in a greased cupcake pan and prepped for cooking.

After baking at 375° for 40 min they came out looking pretty cool. The apple combinations provided the right amount of sweet/sour and they made a great dessert.

    Thanks for lookin!

Thanks for the kind words and points folks! It is greatly appreciated. This dessert was just right for us as not too sweet and some tartness. It would be great with vanilla ice cream on the side.
