Sorry for the horrible pic. Had to snap it quick before they all disappeared.
My wife wanted some buffalo style chicken strips ('cause she won't eat wings) so I whipped up a quick batch tonight. I was a little pressed for time, so only one pic for you all. I decided to add a little Mad Hunky and Habanero Death Dust to the crust. Made it pretty good. Could have used a little extra salt I think, but in all they were great and everyone snapped them up fast.
Ingredients
Chicken breast - cut into finger width strips
Buttermilk - about a pint
1.5 cups flour
2 teaspoons Johnny's Seasoning Salt (Probably do 1.5 Tablespoons next time)
1 teaspoon MH (might do 2 tsp next time)
a sprinkling of HDD
Recipe
1) Cut chicken breasts into strips and place in a bowl, cover with buttermilk and let soak for 15-20 minutes
2) Mix flour and spices in a large bowl. Slowly drizzle about 1/4 cup of buttermilk into the flour mix while stirring with a fork.
3) Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in flour mixture
4) Deep fry in 375 oil for about 6 minutes
I took some of the pieces and made them "buffalo style" by coated them in a mixture of 1/2 cup Frank's Red Hot and 1/3 cup butter, for my wife. You can see in the pic, the two on the left have the franks.
In all they were a really good, quick dinner. I would probably up the MH and HDD next time if it were just for me, 'cause I like it hot, but this time I had the kids to deal with so I kept it kind of mild.

I have CDO, it's a lot like OCD but the letters are in the correct order, like they should be!
it's about 1/4 way down the page "Oakridge BBQ Signature Edition Habanero Death Dust", in the black bag
Thanks for the props everyone. This was actually the first time I've ever made chicken strips at home, and I was surprised at how good and easy they were. Definitely going into the full-time rotation.

Those looked fantastic, I would have definitely put a few of those away, then reached for the tums!
If you like spicy and haven't tried it yet give Dave's Dragon Dust a try, have to get it before they run out each year because they only make so much from their own peppers but the stuff is absolutely amazing.
Hmmm.....maybe not.
Just went to their site to see what's what and it goes directly to GoDaddy and says their domain name expired in July and they haven't renewed it...
That sucks.
