  • I've Been Drafted...

Just found out that our company is having a BBQ Cookoff June 26 - 27 and my boss just informed me that I will be cooking and representing Dallas Service against all our other business units. Arizona, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Our Major Projects Group, Facilities Group, Manufacturing and I think about 3-4 others..

This will not be any type of KCBS, or Lone Star BBQ rules.. Hell I'm not sure if there will be any??

Winner will be chosen from a peoples choice ballet..

I guess my boss did not know I thought I gave this stuff up??

I just don't care to do an all night cook in a parking lot.. Hell I'm barely over the shoulder surgery and will be doing physical therapy during that time..

I guess I could draft a few folks to help.. ??

You just got to get right before hand. As Catfish Cooley would tell ya.... "Take a power shot and get after it!"
Smoke it.. and they will come!

You be all right, draft yourself a few pair of hands and tell 'em what to do. But, if you decide to fly down BOB instead, pick me up too.

Remember if it is "people's choice" to over cook them a little. They love that fall off the bone over cooked plate full of sauce.

Yep, looks like not much in rules..

Each team can cook up to 2 briskets, 6 racks ribs and 6 chicken.. Cooking starts Friday night 6/26.....Ready to serve by 11:00 on 6/27...

So no turn in times other than All has to be ready to serve by 11AM.. OK, looks like the Longhorn and two Webers should do the trick..
