  • PSA for CI scrubber/cleaner

I have one of these and for those that aren't familiar with them, it's an outstanding tool. I was very skeptical when I first ran across these stainless scrubbers. I bit and tried it. Does an absolutely outstanding job with very little effort and does not damage the CI or seasoning at all.

I can't see how that would be good for seasoning...I could be wrong...Lots of folks use them so they must work...

Becky taught me that boiling water in your pan will loosen anything that a nylon scrubber won't easily remove...

That's what I have always done. Then just re-season. I dunno. I am a magnet to new gimmicks somethymes. I'd give it a go. Maybe.

I'm just going to bump this as it really works, at least for me.

Yeah..the rounded edges prolly don’t hurt anything. Easy to rinse/clean too I bet. Hmm.

Yep, I have been using chainmail for a CI cleaner for a number of years now. It works great. If you get aggressive with it you can remove the seasoning, but with normal gentle use it works great. Let the pan soak for a minute or so and it works very very nicely.
