    Another Photobucket Workaround

    Unfortunately, I don't use either of these browsers but in case others do, I saw this on another forum.


    Google Chrome and Foxfire have found a way to access the photos that Photobucket.com does not now allow you to post to 3rd party sites anymore without paying a high price.

    The Firefox and Chrome browsers now have an optional "Photobucket Fix" Add On that will automatically disable Photobucket image restrictions on 3rd party hosting.

    This is a very good thing and it works well. EVERYONE should install this to their Firefox or Chrome browser.

    As long as the restricted images are still hosted on Photobucket, and they haven't been removed, this fix will now them to appear in forum and blog posts.

    In the cases where former/current PhotoBucket users haven't deleted all their albums, Chrome and Firefox now have an extension, Photobucket Embed Fix, that will display 3rd party hosted images. It will fix all your broken pics, no need for you to do anything, it runs entirely in the background.

    Thanks AJ! I use google and put the patch in. I went and looked at some of my old threads and the pictures work for me. The question is will it work for others?

      It appears this fix is for mobile(phones-tablets) units running Android IOS, not IPAD(Apple) or windows operating systems.

        Nope, it doesn't work on Windows machines... and just to reiterate, friggin' PB can go straight to hell. Bastards.

            Doesn't work on my Iphone but the PC running Windows 10, it works here and elsewhere.

              So you're telling me all I have to do is click on the link...Probably follow some simple prompts and all my pics reappear?

              Remember that I am a serious compu-tard and even the simple shit baffles the hell out of me...

                  ONLY works on Chrome/FF.

                    When I went to try the download, I got a warning/error message that it may not be compatible with my system.
                    Think I'll wait til the right version for windows is available.

                    All these so called fixes will only work for so long til PH shuts off things again, then everyone will be looking for the next FREE fix instead of doing it right and hosting or paying for a hosting site for their pics.

                    I believe the free ride is about to end for free pic storage. Companies can't keep paying out for services and not getting any type of reimbursement to cover their costs.

                            It's not a fix going forward, it's a fix to view all the broken pics already posted. If you run this extension on firefox or chrome then you can see the pics. No extension, no pics.
