            I did something similar a while back but i carved the onions out with a melon scoop. your way looks a whole lot easier not to mention darn good too!

              Thanks E! I bet yours were tasty!!
              I like to pile the meat high in the onion halves. Sometimes I put another onion half over the meat, wrap the whole thing in foil and cook them directly on the coals. My mom taught me how to make those when I was little. :)
