    So was it corn bread or johnny cakes? Ifin it was corn bread post the recipe.

    Haven't had good corn bread since I was dating a girl from Tennessee many moons ago.

      It was a Paula Deen recipe. Im no expert on cornbread but i think it came out pretty well.

                    Sugar specifically but flour as well.

                    Johnny cakes are sweetened corn bread as described to me by an old southern lady.

                      I was on vacation in vegas a couple of months ago and came across a bbq place called Rollin Smoke not to far off the strip.We went in and i had hot links,brisket and tried the collards for the first time and fell in love.They were delicious and i have to say better than the ones i made, they used brisket instead of bacon.
