Was a slow process doing the outer entrance. Learning as you go and probably spent more time standing back scratching my head then working lol

I went with a clay flu as to a stainless chinmey I initially wanted. Mostly because my welder buddy was so busy to fabricate somehing for me. I think it still turned out decent.

So to find ceramic blanket in my area wasn't easy. There is a pizza oven supplier in a city close to me and had it online for sale. I messaged the guy and asked if I could pick up local and pay him cash. He said yes local pick up was fine but they only accepted PayPal. I'm like... Really. Why wouldn't he take the cash when I picked it up??? Something didn't sound right so I passed on his sale.
I looked on a local buy and sell and someone ordered two rolls from USA but only needed one. He offered to call me when it arrived and I met him for payment and pickup. All good

Stuff was easy to work with and I tap set some screws in to side near bottom to anchor the chicken wire.

Now we're ready to parge.. 👍

First attempt at this stuff. First coat went on well and fast. Trick is to start from the bottom and work your way up. Once to the top I just dumped some on lol.

Smooth out and keep damp for about a week to cure.

Then it is time for a couple small fires .
