          Company cook-off's - boy I've done a few...
here's the way it usually goes down - it's a popularity contest, no matter how good or bad the winners food is. Or - candy will always please the masses over quality. Last one I did a 12 hour pulled pork, brined for a week. Turned out awesome. Boss did an awesome brisket. Another guy did a great tri-tip. The winner was some girl who threw thin cut short ribs on the grill for one minute glazed in teriyaki sauce.

A 50-60 lb whole hog cooked in a coonass microwave. An old boss I worked for cooked about a 200 lb dressed hog for a bunch of vendors once , took about 24 hrs but all that was left after everyone ate was some bones. They scarfed it down big time.

I think I'm going to do ribs, just because I've never met anyone that doesn't like ribs.
So my next question is - sauced or naked? Remember, peoples choice, no edumacated judges.

This would have that potential, but it's blind, so hopefully that won't happen.

Sauce on the side, that way you cover everyone.

I thought I'd post a follow up to this thread. Remember it was people choice. The winner was wings that the contestant cooked at home. My pulled pork came in second. The pic makes it look dry, but it was quite moist and had a killer smoke ring.

I made pit beans because I was under the impression that sides would be part of the contest only to later find out, that they were not.
