  • Oysters on the Half Shell

    Mother Shucker, were these GOOOOD!!

Went to Kelly's Tavern in Port Penn, DE. I was thirsty and hungry. They hooked me up. I needed a cocktail and oysters. Here's what I got:

These were the biggest, juicyest, sweetest and most tender oysters I've seen in awhile. I was a bit skeptical with the size, butt dang! I Scarfed these puppies down and had another half dozen.

You want them Grilled or Smoked, bring them up here to the Bear.

You won't have to worry about him eating them Raw.

Nice, they run that size down this way. Were they good and salty? I've had a few I had to cut into thirds to eat love them big boys.

Ugh... Nope, It's all you my friend.. I do not know what the fascination of eating these is.. Is it not just a big ass snot rocket? Everyone I know that eats them does not chew them, a splash of hot sauce and squeeze of lemon and down the big Ol' booger goes..

I guess it's due me living in cattle country..

Onlyist ones I seen that size came form Alabama. They not a lot on flavor. Mostly we get Apalachicola, they smaller but real tasty....that is when can slide some out from under 88's nose!
