  • Cajun shrimp

Ever since the post that was made on here about the Cajun shrimp I've been hankering to do them. So last night all the stars aligned and we ended up with this for dinner.

Thanks HawgHeaven, I used the recipe posted in here by Abelman for the shrimp:

                    http://www.smoked-meat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44735

And this recipe for the grits:

                    Grits

                    Ingredients
4 cups water We used (2C Heavy whipping cream, 2C water)
                    Salt and pepper
                    1 cup stone-ground grits
                    3 tablespoons butter
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Bring water to a boil. Add salt and pepper. Add grits and cook until water is absorbed, about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter and cheese.

You did a great job there. That looks fantastic!

As it were, I did up a pan last night with some fried rice. However, if I knew how to make grits, I think I like your version better.

I live in CO every time I hear grits, the scene from My Cousin Vinny pops into my head. You just never see them here.
