I jumped on this. Arrived yesterday.
Pork butts were on sale so that is in the fridge.
Grinder is in the box on the table
When the seasoning and casing arrive, it's off to the races.
Bonus, the stuffer fits on the stainless dolly I made for the slicer to easily wheel into the pantry for storage

I bolt my 5# stuffer to a poly cutting board to keep from scratching the granite countertops. Sometimes I clamp the cutting board to the countertop other times I just wrestle it.sigpic

Any concern about damaging the granite with the clamps? I like the bolting to a cutting board. I have some rubberized drawer liner I will put on the counter to keep the cutting board from sliding around, I wonder if that would be enough to keep it planted

Never had an issue I just stand mine on a wooden board.
Uness you are a total wimp you can easily use one hand for the handle and the other to guide the sausage.
Even snackstix with cheese cubes in can be done without bolting anything down.
I recommend a glove as the handle tends to cut into your hand.
But hey, what's a little pain :-)Made In England - Fine Tuned By The USAJust call me 'One Grind'

When I clamp it the clamps are on the underside of the granite, so if it does scratch the finish, it won't show. You could always put some leather between the clamp and granite to be safe. I like the no-slip pad idea though.
I countersunk the screw holes in the cutting board and used flat head screws so the screw heads would not scratch the countertop. Also like Phil I use stainless steel wing nuts and bolts to secure the stuffer to the cutting board.Last edited by AJ; 12-05-2017, 06:06 AM.
