  • Shepherd's Pie

The better half(Pam) requested Shepherd's Pie for dinner. So, here we go.

Lamb seasoned with sea salt and CBP being browned

Celery, onion, and minced garlic being sauteed in butter

Diced carrots and peas added to the softened celery, garlic, and onion

Mixed the browned meat and sauteed veggies together
Mixed in some rosemary, thyme, flour, and veggie stock
I let this simmer a few minutes to thicken. Then let it cool a little

Mixture put in large Ramekins for dinner tonight and the small Ramekins for Pam's lunches later in the week

While everything was simmering, I had potatoes in another pot cooking
I mixed some shredded Cheddar cheese into the mashed potatoes and then filled the Ramekins with the mashed taters, then dusted with CBP

The small Ramekins were let cool and put in the fridge.
The large Ramekins had shredded cheddar cheese layered on top of the taters and then into the oven @400°

Out of the oven all hot, bubbly, and cheese melted. Ready to eat

Closer look before I devoured the evidence

    Thanks for lookin'
    Jim

yeah, that's a fantastic one pot dish. I have to do that to take for lunch...assembled in their own dish ready for the trip to work. That's worth the price of admission right there!

                            Man that looks good.

I'll have to give it a try.

With beef though. Mrs. DDave does NOT like lamb. Long story . . .
