  • Meat n Tatoes

One of those rare nights when I could have eaten a boot. I was hungry.

The only thing "smoked" in this cook was the cold smoked butter and a cold smoked salt, pepper, garlic blend I made earlier..

Seasoned some tenderized steaks with the smoked SP&G blend.. then rolled in flour and fried til golden..

made skillet gravy with the drippin's...

    That was it... supper.
Chickenfried steak, smooshed tatoes, skillet gravy, biscuits with smoked butter, green stuff to make it healthy... and a sip of Crown to wash it down.

I was sooo hungry. I couldn't eat it all but I put a good dent in it.

I was gifted some huckleberries awhile back and made some jam...
    I love the huckleberries!

    Breakfast the next day...
Chickenfried steak, smoked butter basted duck egg, biscuit topped with huckleberry jam...

Finally getting my appetite back from a bout with the flu and pneumonia. It feels good to be cooking again. :)

    Thanks for looking!

Glad to hear you're feeling better Jeanie. That's the meal I could go for two or three times a week and not get tired of.

Bravo! Smoked butter. Hmm. I guess I should prolly leave that one alone given my cheese experience eh?

One of my favorite things in the world, country fried steak. You did it absolutely perfectly, and then to get to have it again for breakfast. Yum! Jeanie. WOW!
