    MAJOR UPDATE

    OK Im awake...Lena's been busy...Makes me want a beer just thinkin about it...

    First batch of maters on the Longhorn...


    Second batch with limes...Smell is amazing...


    Third batch...Sweet peppers, hot peppers, and onions...


    More to come....If Lena's up to it...
    Wonder what she's fixin for supper

      I think there's a bowl in the fridge that will work in a microwave quite nicely!

                  Sooooo...Here Lena has the tomatoes in the pot...Must have been a LOT of work...18 pounds of maters washed, cut. smoked and chopped...


                  And all the peppers and onions smoked and diced...A big ol bowl of smokey goodness...


                  And mixed...She says that all it needs now is cilantro, garlic, and lime juice...Man that's gotta suck...Pickin the leaves off of three bunches of cilantro...I don't know how she does it...



                  Maybe Ill show more pics after she gets it all jarred up...

                    I have made your salsa recipe a couple of times for canning, and it definitely DOES NOT SUCk!

                          Nice work Craig and Lena, that is some great looking stuff there. We just got done making sauce with roasted garlic and this weekend looking for something to do with more. I have all the ingredients you show in me garden.

                          Gonna have to check your old posts for a recipe. for canning!

                            That's going to be some awesome salsa. I think I remember seeing a post last year with you (or someone) smoking their veggies before they made salsa. Great idea. I bet that give is a whole different flavor. How long and at what temps are you smoking the veggies?
