  • Cauliflower on the bbq - thoughts and recipes please :-)

this is as close to a veggie section as we've got :-)

Title says it all. bbqing this afternoon/evening.

Turkey legs, moroccan style turkey kebab thingies (mint, honey, apricots, coriander etc), and some sausages, maybe a couple stuffed burgers as well and some big arse (10-11 count) shrimps on sticks.
Gonna Whip up some lemon mousse for desert.

Only three of us - but I figure I'll cook tomorrows food as well :-)

So I've got this big and beautiful cauliflower and I'd like to cook it on the bbq.

Not a frigging clue how :-)

Please help. I do have bacon if that's useful (has to be right :-)

I have done that many times & my fave way is to cut off all of the stem & cover the flower with low fat mayo & apply a thick coating of grated parm cheese and some black pepper and cook it indirect at about 300 - 350* until done, about 45 minutes or so. The cheese will become a wonderful crust that goes well with the cauliflower. Good luck with yours.

that sounds good. Was thinking along the lines of cutting florets but doing the whole thing at once would certainly be easier

      any other ideas ?

A Google search of "Cauliflower on the grill" showed a ton of ideas. I like the slicing it like a steak idea.

I would pound it with garlic and butter, but that's just me.
