I have checked all the thermos, the ambiant temp one is fine the one inside the shoulder is fine... WTF? What they marked the wrong wt on the package? Thats a win for me I guess?? I did not even question the weight, not like I would know the difference between 8 lbs and 10.. but??? What else could it be?

hmmm lemme look back... is IS a good size...but the 2 lbs possible would not matter that much. That was one onrey pig! You COULD foil it and into the blazing oven while controlling the on-off cycles to keep around 350°. Perhaps foiling with moisture may help in either case. Steam does wonders.

Foil it, like 6 hrs ago, or the outside will be toast. Thats a long time for a shoulder, I have had 28 lb chucks take less time.
