Oh Crap! I see it's not available... anyway..this one has rocked for me for Hmm... 3 years of pretty stiff usage...

The Gamesavers appear the way to go....
Reviews all over the place on that model???? Seems like they love it or don't???Might be worth considering "where" you buy it as a deciding factor? Places like Costco have great return policies. I would be pissed if I bought one from Amazon that was a POS and had to deal with no support. Just a thought.

That's what I was saying about getting one at Costco. Just watch for the 20 bucks off coupon they run frequently.
Also, check the reviews for any particular model you are interested in on the foodsaver website. The reviews are helpful if you sift through them.
I rub it every chance I get!

My vote. Add another 20 buck or so to replace the rubber strips and you have a rockin machine.

Although I had an older foodsaver that lasted years. E turned me on to this one. At least its made in a country that was on our side.

ditto bro. i wasnt gonna post on this thread but bein u drug me into it and all.

yes sir that is the only foodsaver model you want to chunk your hard earned jing down on. while the pro II's are good machines(i had 2 of them), and i believe the gamesaver is pretty comparable. but if you plan on using the crap out of it and this would include sealing up alot of fresh meat, fish etc... and no i aint going to prefreeze the stuff, or stuff paper towels in the bags. this machine is a "no worries" unit.

the least bit of moisture that gets into those electronic vacuum pumps will soon make the inoperable. had a box of them to prove it...

the older original foodsavers have a piston pump you can actually flush out with water and no harm will occur.

you can also find these with a vacu-fresh or vac-u-pack lable on them. but i see they are catching on and jacking up the price.... someone should try and get the one from the link above... right now under 50 bucks. seen some others and they want are ranging up to 169... here a few other links.

Here is the link, for the strips you may need, chances are you will need them.

Common problem is that they are stored incorrectly with pressure on the strips. You will understand when you get it.

advice is right on, if they are stored in the closed posistion the nozzle will make an indent in the rubber seal over time. you gonna like it Mark! while it is not fully automated, it will not break down either. there is a little bit of a learning curve adjusting from the channel to the nozzle... list it in your will.

Yeah, I don't know anything about this model as it isn't the one I have but it is about 50 bucks cheaper than the one I bought. I think? Honestly, I'd still go with the one at costco for more though. You won't have to worry about a hassle if it breaks on ya!
