Some days I think Bravo Zulu, other days it's more like Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...

I like it made with beef too.
I think it might be called something else . . . cottage pie maybe . . . when made with beef.

Dave, it is a cottage pie when made with any meat other than lamb, but I wasn't going to bring that point up again after the last time I pointed that out.

One of my all time favorite dishes. And you did it justice.

Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

Yeah, I always wimp out and make mine with beef (Cottage Pie). Gotta get in gear and do the real deal with lamb. Specially since you can buy lamb at Costco for the price of beef. Boned legs are $5.45 / lb. I have a grinder.

Nice job. Inspired me to grind up some lamb.

                          Mmmmmmm, that look GuuD!
When I was in public school, school lunch, they made something call Potato Turbate. Kind of the same thing only it was just hamburger (mostly unseasoned) and instant mashed on top. Sometimes they would put peas in the burger. It was better than most of the stuff they "served"!
Yours looks like it would be killer rib stickin good!

I guess since they made it in mass quantities... the cooks could be dubbed as "Mass Turbaters"...

weird that you guys ever make shepherds pie without lamb :-)
The clue is in the name sheep-herd ;-)

Love the addition of cheese - that's got to raise it a couple notches, have some
