Thank You Vern!!
LOL---I miss thousands of posts myself, and probably a lot of them that I hate to miss!!
She's doing Great now---Not much of her chores for me to do any more, except things that are down low, like stuff in bottom cabinets, litter box cleaning, etc, etc.
She's even driving already---Twice to PT, and she went grocery shopping yesterday.
It's exhausting to care for the one you love when they are recovering. Who knew they did 51% of the work? Not to mention all the extra stuff for her recovery.
You make sure you take care of yourself as well. You can't be of help if you get beaten down. And make those kids come help you as needed. Don't know you or your family but the way it works around here is that when I call, you come. When you call, I show up.
happy to read she is recovering well.

Some days I think Bravo Zulu, other days it's more like Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...

Thank You Tulsa!!
Same here, but I think she was doing a lot more than 51% of the "In-house" duties.
I was doing all I could, but the DIL helped her wash her hair a couple times, and helped her get dressed when she first got home. I told her I was only good at undressing her.
But then I have my Jack of ALL Trades, Bear Jr. He did all the driiving to hospital & Dr offices, and Drug Store & Groceries, and once she started doing stairs, he stayed on her down-side on the way up & down for safety. I got enough trouble with steps on my own, but at 6' 4" & 210lbs, he could keep her safe.
Oh yeah---The DIL made us some Baked Ziti, and a Chicken Pie too, each lasting a few days for us.
