  • Well, I think Capt'n-N-Smoke is history

Sorry to say on one hand, but on the other... it served all the members well. We all had things to do and prove, and we did them.

    My thanks to:

Dan. A better Capt'n one could not ask for. And glad that we could crew ya to one of your dreams!

Geoff. A solid team guy and always willing to front fees 'till we could scrape them up, and a killer chicken cooker. Not to mention the frosty drinks :{)

Lee. A sauce master, and just plain old common sense guy, and always words of support.

I never would have had this experience without you guys, and from the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU and love you guys!

      That sucks to hear.
But at least there were plenty of good times, and that's the most important part.

Well... time... it takes alot of. Money. Ditto. And as I said... we did OK. I think we were in the top 10% of the nation in 2010? Crap. To get any better, we'd need to be retired and rich ;{)

Had some great times hangin' with you guys at comps. The loss of Capt'n-N-Smoke is a big loss because there is slim chances that I'll see any of you guys again. You are all unique, but together you made a hell of a team. I DO have tons of photos from comps that I visited you at though.

            Here's to all you guys.

Sorry to hear aboot this. At least I got to meet y'all once anyway. Often considered jumping into the comp game but after seeing the time and costs involved along with not having a smoker large enough to do it properly I decided against it. Just doesn't seem to be a sustainable hobby.
