  • Chicken Paprikash

Here is another one of my favourite Hungarian dishes. I placed it here in the Side items category because the chicken is not smoked. But hey, that is an idea, I might have to try that.............

To try to make these step by step recipes with pictures a little shorter I have done this in Word, then converted it to pdf format. This is a very tastey dish that does require a bit of time to make.

****ONLY REAL HUNGARIAN PAPRIKA CAN BE USED IN THIS DISH****
Anything other than that, will not do this dish justice.
Please give it a whirl, and let us Hunky's know how you like it.

This was some good stuff... Made it last night. Things I did different was 1/2 recipe since its just the wife and I. Added 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika to the flour. Pulled the chicken from the pot and cooked the dumplings in the broth..

It had great flavor.. I will be making this again..

            The wife's plate

            And the old mans plate..

HEY! You cheated on the noodles! LOL! I sometimes add a little CBP to the dough. Also, I will thicken the gravy just SLIGHTLY if it's not quite thick enough to stick to the noodles.

But good work, for a Texan ;{)
